The Art of Study Note Cards!

There is an art to creating a Science Study Notecard in Mrs.Pitotti's Life Science Class. The challenge is to take a great amount of information and organize it onto a small 3x5 card for use on a test. The students in Room 403 are going to get pretty good at it, here are some awesome examples of functional study cards with an artistic flare.

Along with definitions, you can choose to re-create diagrams on the back side of your card to help with labeling. Some students create their own diagrams while others copy and shrink the actual diagrams in the text. Either way, having clearly labeled examples of the diagrams needed are a huge help during exam time!

Vocabulary Words and key concepts make up the other side of the notecard. To be complete, you should try to fit all of the chapter vocabulary terms and definitions on the card. If you have to write small, feel free to bring a magnifying glass to help you read what you've written! (Many students do, and have great success!) Using the last of your space to include key terms and concepts will ensure that you have done all you can to give your best on a Science Exam.

Amazing Notecards are Up To You!

This Friday we have a Chapter Test in Science, take the challenge to create the most amazing Study card you can! Remember, you will always get an outline of all the concepts covered, but the actual making of the card is up to you!

 YOUR SCORE WILL IMPROVE
WITH THE EFFORT YOU PUT FORTH

Take the time to create your Study card for this exam, and remember if you give 100% of your best the first time, without complaint, YOU WILL ALWAYS IMPROVE!
(and Mrs. Pitotti will be MORE than THRILLED!)

Cell Project Due Friday!

Cell Project Due Friday!

Make sure you're ready, we will present our projects on Friday during Science time! Every day you're late you loose 10 points, that will take you down a WHOLE LETTER GRADE!
You can do it!! Need help? Just Ask!

Here is an example of the Cell Poster Project! Hope it helps!
 Here are some 3-D examples!

This is a purchased cell from a kit. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SPEND MONEY LIKE THIS!!!

Be Creative, and use what you have at home!

This is a cell made of Clay! Look at how clearly it's labeled!

How Creative is this! A Cell on a piece of toast! If you do this, remember it will have to be presented that day because the food won't last.

If you do a 3-D model, you still need to label your cell, and have a seperate sheet for the analogies.

Questions? Just ask!
