Get Ready To Rock the Test!

This week begins the countdown to the CST.

As a class we will go over the Blueprint Exam and identify target learning areas and goals for the CST.

Every night we will have homework focusing on the trouble spots identified throughout the Benchmark exams. Please give 100% support to your students!

This test is designed to tell us what we need to know before the State Test. It is an evaluation of learned skills from August to March, so the notes we've taken should remind them on skills they learned awhile ago! Please just give the best you have, that is all I ask! Thanks, and Beat the Blue!!

Distinguished Visitor to David A. Brown- Lt. Mann Chau

Lt. Mann Chau of the United States Navy came to our 1/2 class today as a special visitor. He arranged correspondence with personnel on the remote island of Diego Garcia and our students, it's been a wonderful experience. Check out Fun Pics for more pictures!!

Theory V. Laws

As a student you will learn about Theory and Law. As your teacher I will always challenge you to seek truth for yourself, finding answers through hard work and determination. Science is filled with things that have been discovered, things waiting to be discovered, and theories waiting to be proven. As students, it's your job to question these things, and actively learn from others research as you're beginning your own!

Our new Chapter Changes Over Time is the beginning of many Scientific Theories and Laws. You'll meet Charles Darwin, autor of The Origin of the Species. His field work on the Galapagos Islands started theories that are utilized and discussed today.

Soon, we will delve into our past all the way back to the beginning of time to look at habitats and animals that roamed our Earth long before we came along! What will you learn? What will you discover?
